Who you are

You have extensive experience in backend engineering, particularly in building scalable observability solutions. Your expertise includes working with technologies like Grafana and AWS, and you are comfortable with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. You possess strong programming skills in languages like Python and JavaScript, and you have a solid understanding of REST APIs and database management with PostgreSQL.

You thrive in a remote-first environment and are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are passionate about open-source technologies and have a keen interest in observability strategies.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the Grafana Knowledge Graph, which powers full-stack observability across Grafana Cloud. You will collaborate with the Observability group to build end-to-end solutions that span various observability domains, including application, infrastructure, and database monitoring. Your work will directly impact how organizations manage their observability strategies, ensuring they can monitor and visualize their systems effectively.

You will also engage in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team. Your role will involve working closely with product managers and designers to align technical capabilities with user needs, ensuring that the solutions you build are both robust and user-friendly. You will have the opportunity to innovate and experiment with new technologies, driving the evolution of Grafana's observability offerings.
