Overview
Grindr is hiring a Manager for New Verticals to drive the development and execution of new business opportunities. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders to identify and operationalize strategic initiatives. This role requires 4-6+ years of experience in Banking, Consulting, or Startups.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 4-6+ years of experience in roles that blend strategy and operations, ideally within Banking, Consulting, or the Tech startup space. You are comfortable assessing high-level strategies while also diving deep into financial models and market analyses. Your background includes identifying market opportunities and developing business plans that drive growth. You possess strong negotiation skills and can effectively manage relationships with external partners. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and can communicate complex ideas succinctly to executive stakeholders. You stay informed about industry trends, particularly those affecting the LGBTQ+ community, and are passionate about leveraging this knowledge to inform business decisions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will identify strategic opportunities for Grindr in new verticals outside of the core app. You will develop long-term business plans for these opportunities, including identifying potential partnerships and approaches to launch new verticals. Your responsibilities will include negotiating business models with external parties and managing the launches and ongoing operations of these new verticals. You will assess and prioritize initiatives, ensuring buy-in from executive stakeholders through compelling communication. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to operationalize strategies and monitor the performance of new verticals, making adjustments as necessary based on industry trends and performance metrics.
What we offer
Grindr offers a competitive salary range of $140,000—$200,000 USD, along with equity, benefits, and a company bonus program. As a hybrid role, you will be expected to work in the San Francisco office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, allowing for flexibility in your work environment. You will be part of a dynamic team that is focused on innovation and growth, contributing to the company's mission of expanding its impact within the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.
