You have at least 5+ years of experience in digital media, demonstrating a strong understanding of the online media landscape and the advertising community. Your background equips you to prospect and close sales effectively, leveraging your knowledge to navigate complex client needs and deliver tailored solutions. You are capable of working autonomously while also collaborating with a cross-functional pre-sales team to achieve business objectives. Your ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in large and mid-size agencies is crucial to your success in this role.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate the value of GumGum’s contextual advertising platform to potential clients. You are adept at applying independent judgment and discretion to select appropriate options from GumGum’s defined products, ensuring that client needs are met with precision and care. Your experience in the digital media space has honed your problem-solving abilities, enabling you to tackle challenges head-on and deliver results that drive revenue growth.
What you'll do
As the Account Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue for GumGum’s market-leading contextual advertising platform in Japan. This involves managing a book of business and actively prospecting for new clients while nurturing existing relationships. You will work closely with the Managing Director - Japan, receiving occasional managerial guidance on client calls, but primarily operating with a high degree of autonomy. Your role will require you to engage with clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions that align with their advertising goals.
You will leverage your deep knowledge of the online media landscape to identify opportunities for growth and develop strategies that enhance client satisfaction and retention. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the pre-sales team to ensure that all client interactions are supported by comprehensive product knowledge and effective communication. You will also be expected to stay informed about industry trends and innovations, positioning GumGum as a thought leader in the contextual advertising space.
