Who you are

You are an Environmental Compliance Technician with a hands-on approach to monitoring and enforcing adherence to company policies regarding waste disposal. You understand the importance of proper sanitation and personal hygiene practices in a production environment, and you are committed to training employees in real-time to eliminate risks associated with waste management. You have strong interpersonal skills that allow you to build partnerships with personnel on the production floor, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards. You are proactive in gathering data to report trends and high-risk areas related to food waste disposal, and you are skilled at anticipating possible risks and addressing them effectively. You are familiar with safety, GMP, and SQF policies and procedures, and you understand the significance of adhering to PPE and hygiene protocols.

What you'll do

In this role, you will monitor and enforce adherence to company policies and procedures for the proper disposal of food and waste within the production and surrounding areas. You will take a frontline approach to training employees, ensuring they understand the importance of compliance and safety. You will gather data to report trends and high-risk areas regarding food waste disposal to leadership teams, helping to identify areas for improvement. You will model proper sanitation practices and oversee typical sanitation tasks to support the production team. Your responsibilities will include removing waste and debris, transporting empty boxes to compactors, and sanitizing equipment and floors at the end of shifts. You will also monitor the outside of the facility for waste and debris, ensuring a clean and compliant environment. Your role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of the company's operations and ensuring that all employees adhere to safety and hygiene standards.
