Who you are

You have a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, showcasing your commitment to health and safety standards. With previous experience in a Health & Safety role, you understand the intricacies of implementing safety management systems and promoting a culture of safety within an organization. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively advise and support managers and employees alike. Your proactive approach to risk management allows you to identify potential hazards and implement effective strategies to mitigate them. You are passionate about fostering employee engagement and open communication regarding health and safety practices. Your leadership skills enable you to manage a team effectively, guiding them to achieve optimum performance and ensuring that safety standards are consistently met.

What you'll do

In this role, you will support the implementation of the HelloFresh Health and Safety Management System at the Windmill distribution centre. You will collaborate with the Assistant Director of Health and Safety to assist UK Operations teams in conducting task and area risk assessments, developing risk reduction strategies, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization by encouraging employee engagement and continuous improvement in health and safety practices. Regular safety audits and inspections will be part of your responsibilities, assessing the effectiveness of safety arrangements and addressing any identified deficiencies promptly. You will evaluate the safety performance of external contractors and suppliers, ensuring they meet necessary safety standards. Additionally, you will engage and develop your direct reports, enabling them to reach their full potential while maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
