HelloFresh is seeking a Head of Legal for a 16-month contract to support the Canadian business and manage complex legal issues. This role requires a transactional specialist with experience in both law firms and in-house environments.

Who you are
You are a seasoned legal professional with a strong background in transactional law, ideally with experience in both law firms and in-house environments. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting and are adept at managing a heavy contract workload. Your proactive and entrepreneurial approach allows you to solve complex legal issues effectively, both locally and internationally. You possess excellent negotiation skills and are comfortable drafting and reviewing contracts across various business pillars. You are a strategic thinker who can identify and mitigate legal risks while maintaining a focus on the business's operational needs. You have a collaborative mindset, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and legal support for brand partnerships and marketing initiatives.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the legal support for HelloFresh's Canadian business, focusing on high-volume contract lifecycle management. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts that span various business functions. Your expertise will be crucial in providing legal guidance for brand partnership agreements and influencer contracts, ensuring that all marketing sampling programs comply with legal standards. You will work closely with the North American General Counsel and collaborate with teams across the organization to address legal challenges and support business objectives. Your role will also involve proactive risk management, where you will identify potential legal issues and escalate them as necessary. You will be expected to manage day-to-day legal tasks while keeping an eye on the strategic vision of the company, ensuring that legal considerations are integrated into business decisions.
What we offer
HelloFresh offers a competitive salary range of $145,000 to $155,000 CAD for this contract position. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions will directly impact the business's success.
