Who you are

You are a highly technical, hands-on engineer with a strong background in manufacturing processes and mechanical systems. You possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Your experience includes working with precision mechanical systems and driving design-for-manufacture initiatives. You are passionate about advancing manufacturing capabilities and have a keen interest in aerospace technologies.

You have a solid understanding of component fabrication from concept through production, and you are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, materials, and production. Your ability to bridge the gap between prototype and production is a key strength, and you thrive in environments that require innovative thinking and continuous improvement.

Desirable

Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques and technologies is a plus. Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations will enhance your candidacy. You are also encouraged to bring any certifications or specialized training relevant to manufacturing engineering.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take full ownership of component fabrication processes, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will be responsible for establishing and developing advanced manufacturing processes for critical hardware used in high-speed aircraft. Your work will directly impact the production capabilities of next-generation aerospace technologies.

You will collaborate closely with design teams to implement design-for-manufacture principles, ensuring that products are optimized for production. Continuous improvement will be a key focus, as you will analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for enhancement. You will also work with materials teams to select appropriate materials that meet performance and safety standards.

Your role will involve hands-on engineering work, where you will troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues as they arise. You will be expected to document processes and create detailed reports on manufacturing performance. Additionally, you will participate in meetings with stakeholders, including the Department of Defense, to discuss project progress and manufacturing capabilities.
