Overview
Hermeus is hiring an Integration Engineer to oversee the design, build, and testing of fluid and propulsion systems for high-speed aircraft. You'll work closely with manufacturing and testing teams, requiring a strong background in mechanical systems and propulsion.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in mechanical systems, propulsion, and fluids — capable of driving complex assemblies from concept through validation in a fast-paced, first-principles environment. Your hands-on engineering experience allows you to effectively bridge the gap between design, manufacturing, and testing, ensuring that hardware is built with precision, efficiency, and reliability. You thrive in collaborative settings, working directly with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical hardware. Your understanding of fluid dynamics and propulsion systems enables you to tackle challenges head-on, ensuring that the integration of various components meets stringent performance standards.
Desirable
Experience with high-Mach and hypersonic aircraft systems is a plus, as is familiarity with Department of Defense projects. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly to changing requirements. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to quality are essential traits that you bring to the team.
What you'll do
As an Integration Engineer at Hermeus, you will own the design release, build, test, and delivery of key vehicle fluid, propulsion, and mechanism assemblies. This includes working on control surface actuators, spike inlet systems, and engine integration. You will serve as the technical bridge between design, manufacturing, and test, ensuring that all hardware components are integrated seamlessly. Your role will involve collaborating with engineers from various disciplines to validate designs and ensure that they meet performance specifications. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the integration process, ensuring that all systems function as intended.
What we offer
Hermeus provides a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in the aerospace sector. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of high-speed flight, contributing to national defense and technological advancement. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and professional growth. Join us in our mission to revolutionize air travel and maintain an asymmetric advantage for our nation and allies.
