You are a talented student pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting. You have a strong foundation in mechanical principles and are familiar with design software such as AutoCAD and MATLAB. Your passion for aerospace engineering drives you to contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology.

What you'll do
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Hermeus, you will join the Fluids Team, where you will assist in the design and integration of hydraulic systems and fuel systems for high-speed aircraft. You will work closely with experienced engineers, gaining valuable insights into the engineering process from concept to execution. Your responsibilities will include supporting the development of system specifications, conducting simulations, and participating in testing and validation processes.
You will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on work, helping to build and test components that are critical to the performance of hypersonic aircraft. Throughout your internship, you will learn about the challenges and intricacies of aerospace engineering, while contributing to projects that have a significant impact on national security.
