Facilities Technician • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have experience in facilities maintenance, particularly in a lab or healthcare environment, and are skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining various systems including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC. You understand the importance of preventive maintenance and are proactive in identifying potential issues before they escalate. Your communication skills allow you to effectively report and discuss maintenance problems with supervisors and team members.

You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards in a laboratory setting. You are comfortable working with general supervision and can manage your time effectively to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently. You are also adaptable and willing to learn new technologies and systems as needed.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for performing predictive and preventive maintenance on lab equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. You will analyze and troubleshoot maintenance problems, providing solutions for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, and HVAC systems. You will work closely with the Principal Program Manager to communicate any concerns and collaborate on maintenance strategies.

You will also participate in regular inspections and assessments of lab equipment, documenting your findings and recommending improvements as necessary. Your role will involve interacting with various teams to ensure that maintenance schedules align with operational needs, minimizing downtime and disruptions in the lab.
