Overview

Homebase is hiring a Senior Product Designer to shape foundational user experiences across iOS, Android, and web platforms. You'll collaborate with design and product teams to enhance critical platform experiences. This role requires strong design skills and experience in product design.

Job Description

Who you are

You are a Senior Product Designer with a strong background in systems thinking and product craft — you thrive in collaborative environments and have a passion for creating user-centered designs that enhance the overall experience. You have experience working on foundational experiences such as authentication, billing, and compliance, and you understand the importance of trust and clarity in product design. You are comfortable working across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, and web, and you enjoy the challenge of redesigning complex flows to improve user engagement and reduce churn.

You have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to up-leveling design craft — you believe that even the most 'unglamorous' tasks can have a significant impact on user satisfaction. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to ensure that your designs are not only visually appealing but also functional and effective. You are familiar with design systems and understand how to contribute to and enhance them, ensuring consistency across all user touchpoints.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a design partner for the foundations team, shaping critical user experiences that every user interacts with. You will work closely with the design manager and Principal Designer to add components to the design system and ensure that all designs align with the overall product vision. You will take ownership of end-to-end design for key platform experiences, collaborating with product managers to redesign flows that enhance user engagement and reduce churn.

You will be responsible for conducting user research to understand pain points and opportunities for improvement, and you will use this data to inform your design decisions. You will participate in design reviews and provide feedback to peers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the design team. Your work will directly contribute to building a product that small businesses love and rely on, making a real-world impact.

What we offer

At Homebase, you will join a team that values diversity and inclusion, and you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. You will be part of a mission-driven company that is dedicated to helping small businesses thrive, and your contributions will play a vital role in shaping the future of our product.
