Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in product design, particularly in financial services or fintech, where you've honed your craft in creating user-centric designs that prioritize clarity and confidence. Your portfolio showcases a range of projects that demonstrate your ability to design intuitive interfaces across multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, and web. You understand the nuances of designing for financial products, where every detail matters and can significantly impact user trust and satisfaction.
You are proficient in design tools such as Figma, allowing you to create high-fidelity prototypes and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Your experience includes conducting user research and usability testing to inform your design decisions, ensuring that the products you design meet user needs and expectations. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to bring your visions to life.
You possess a strong understanding of user experience principles and are skilled in crafting micro-interactions that enhance the overall user journey. You are detail-oriented, recognizing that in financial services, the smallest design choices can have significant implications for user experience. You are passionate about creating products that not only meet business goals but also provide real value to users.
Desirable
Experience in designing for mobile applications is a plus, as is familiarity with agile methodologies and design sprints. You may also have experience with A/B testing and data-driven design approaches, which can help you iterate on your designs based on user feedback and analytics.
What you'll do
In this role, you will take ownership of the Financial Services experience at Homebase, focusing initially on the Cash Out product. You will design user experiences that are not only functional but also engaging, ensuring that users feel confident and secure when accessing their earned wages. Your work will involve creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that reflect the needs of our users and the goals of the business.
You will collaborate closely with product managers to define the product vision and roadmap, ensuring that your designs align with strategic objectives. Your role will also involve working with engineers during the development process to ensure that your designs are implemented accurately and effectively. You will participate in user testing sessions, gathering feedback to refine your designs and improve the overall user experience.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will mentor junior designers, sharing your expertise and helping them grow in their roles. You will contribute to the design culture at Homebase, advocating for user-centered design practices and promoting a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
