Who you are
You have experience in buying and merchandising, with a strong ability to evaluate and curate products that align with market trends and consumer needs. You understand the importance of building and maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring that both parties benefit from the partnership. Your analytical skills allow you to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions that enhance product offerings and profitability.
You are adept at negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers, ensuring that you secure the best deals for your company while fostering a collaborative environment. Your communication skills enable you to maintain clear and consistent dialogue with vendors, ensuring that all parties are aligned on goals and expectations. You are proactive in sourcing new suppliers and managing product assortments to meet the demands of your category.
What you'll do
As a Buyer at iHerb, you will be responsible for evaluating and curating products within your assigned category, ensuring that they meet the company's standards for quality and marketability. You will work closely with the Category Manager to align on business strategies and growth objectives, directly impacting key category metrics such as pricing, promotions, and product lifecycle management.
You will negotiate with vendors to secure favorable pricing and promotional budgets, driving sales and product innovation. Your role will involve onboarding new products and brands, ensuring a smooth integration into the existing product lineup. You will also be responsible for maintaining a supplier database, addressing quality issues, and responding to customer service inquiries related to your category.
