You have experience in sourcing and procurement, ideally within the defense or technology sectors. Your ability to identify reliable suppliers and negotiate contracts is second nature to you. You understand the importance of maintaining high-quality standards in the materials you procure, ensuring that they meet the rigorous demands of autonomous maritime operations. You thrive in environments where you can contribute to cutting-edge technology and support national defense capabilities. You are detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills, allowing you to manage multiple supplier relationships effectively.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing materials and managing supplier relationships to support the production of autonomous surface vessels for the Department of Defense. You will identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials. Your role will involve collaborating closely with production teams to understand their needs and ensure that the materials procured meet the highest quality standards. You will also monitor supplier performance and address any issues that arise, ensuring that production schedules are not disrupted.
