Who you are
You have extensive experience in security engineering, with a strong background in detection, response, and recovery strategies. Your leadership skills enable you to guide and support a diverse team of security professionals, including SOC Analysts and Threat Hunters. You are hands-on and maintain a technical edge while shaping the strategic direction of security programs. You understand the importance of collaboration with engineering and product management teams to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place.
You are knowledgeable about the latest technologies and trends in cybersecurity, particularly in ransomware and breach containment. Your ability to explore new technologies and implement them effectively is crucial in maintaining a competitive advantage for Illumio. You are committed to fostering a culture of security awareness and resilience within the organization and among its customers.
What you'll do
In this high-visibility leadership role, you will report to the Senior Director of Security Engineering and be part of the broader security leadership team. You will shape the strategic direction of Illumio's Security Program, leveraging your expertise to guide a global team. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the daily operations of the security team, ensuring effective incident response, and enhancing the capabilities of the security program.
You will drive the use of Illumio's own products to maintain security and improve core capabilities for customers. This involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing team members, fostering their growth and ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.
