Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong background in developing and implementing security solutions that protect systems and data. Your expertise includes working with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, and you are proficient in automation tools such as Terraform and Docker. You have a deep understanding of security frameworks and best practices, particularly OWASP guidelines, and you are skilled in programming languages like Python for scripting and automation tasks.
You are a natural leader, capable of managing a team of security engineers while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Your communication skills allow you to effectively convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to continuous learning and improvement in the field of cybersecurity.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of automated security measures to protect against emerging threats. You will oversee the design and implementation of security architectures that are scalable and resilient, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Collaborating closely with the Chief Information Security Officer and other stakeholders, you will drive initiatives that enhance the overall security posture of OwnBackup.
You will be responsible for mentoring and guiding your team of security engineers, helping them to grow their skills and advance their careers. Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting security assessments, developing incident response plans, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will also play a key role in evaluating new security technologies and tools to improve the effectiveness of security operations.
