Job Description
Who you are
You have 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, ideally within a SaaS or IT environment. Your educational background includes a graduate or postgraduate degree, and you hold a CA or CMA certification. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to maintain accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
You are familiar with GAAP and IFRS principles, and you understand the importance of adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements. Your experience includes preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and performing month-end closing processes. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, and assist in the month-end closing processes. Your role will also involve creating and analyzing periodic financial summaries for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately documented.
You will assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries, playing a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance overall efficiency within the finance team. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential in streamlining workflows and achieving departmental goals.
