What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, modeling, and implementing large-scale database systems. You will ensure the availability and reliability of these systems, performing routine maintenance and upgrades as necessary. Your day-to-day tasks will include capacity planning for database clusters and automating database provisioning and deployments. You will also monitor system health, set up alerting mechanisms, and conduct regular backups to safeguard data.

You will collaborate with other engineers to build delightful feature experiences that address customer pain points. Your role will involve documenting and benchmarking database performance, as well as creating processes that enforce best practices across the team.
