Instacart is seeking a Fraud & Identity Specialist to review transactions and prevent fraud. This contract position requires attention to detail and the ability to identify fraudulent activities. You'll work remotely across the United States.

You are detail-oriented and have a keen eye for identifying patterns in data — your analytical skills allow you to spot fraudulent activities and account takeovers effectively. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make a significant impact on the safety and security of online transactions. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to handle internal escalations and collaborate with various teams to provide exceptional service through the Instacart platform. You are adaptable and open to learning new tools and processes that enhance your ability to prevent fraud.
Desirable
Experience in fraud detection or a related field is a plus, as it equips you with the knowledge to recognize suspicious behaviors quickly. Familiarity with transaction monitoring systems or data analysis tools can give you an edge in this role. A background in customer service or operations can also be beneficial, as it helps you understand the customer experience while ensuring their safety.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing transactions in real-time to prevent fraud and protect our customers. You will analyze data to identify fraudulent activities and patterns, ensuring that our platform remains secure. Handling internal escalations will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you work to resolve issues swiftly and efficiently. You will collaborate with other teams to enhance our fraud prevention strategies and contribute to the overall safety of the Instacart platform.
