Who you are
You have a strong background in data science, particularly in applying machine learning methodologies to solve complex business challenges. Your coding skills in Python or Scala are complemented by your understanding of model development and deployment pipelines. You possess experimental design skills and can effectively communicate with both business and engineering teams, ensuring that technical excellence is maintained within the team.
Your experience includes working with machine learning tools and libraries such as Scikit-learn and Mllib, which you leverage to create impactful solutions. You also have good data handling skills, with proficiency in Spark Dataframes or SQL being a plus. Your English language proficiency allows you to collaborate seamlessly in a diverse environment.
What you'll do
As a Data Scientist at Nubank, you will translate business challenges into well-designed machine learning solutions that align with business requirements. You will integrate and leverage external data sources to enhance our models, ensuring that the team maintains a high level of technical excellence. Your contributions will help design projects across various areas involved in building machine learning products, including training, deployment, data consistency, monitoring, and governance.
You will be responsible for applying innovative methodologies to our risk model and developing causal machine learning approaches for the initial line assignment workflow. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the solutions you develop are not only technically sound but also meet the strategic goals of the organization.
