You have 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong background in managing hosted infrastructure and ensuring high levels of availability and performance. Your expertise in Linux and cloud technologies like AWS allows you to effectively troubleshoot and optimize systems for various client needs.

You are proficient in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, enabling you to deploy and manage applications efficiently. Your experience with configuration management tools like Ansible helps you automate processes and improve operational efficiency.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet performance requirements. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders ensures that projects are completed on time and within specifications.

You are proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing preventive measures to maintain system integrity. Your commitment to continuous improvement drives you to seek out opportunities to enhance operational processes and service delivery.

Desirable

Experience with ITIL frameworks is a plus, as it allows you to define and document operational processes effectively. Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery strategies will further enhance your ability to manage hosted infrastructure.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead or support the deployment of server, network, and hosting equipment, ensuring that all installations meet the necessary specifications for space, power, and cooling. You will collaborate with co-location partners to design optimal layouts that accommodate current and future needs.

You will manage and maintain hosted infrastructure, including servers, storage, and backups, while overseeing proactive issue prevention and backup processes. Your role will involve defining, documenting, and improving operational processes to enhance service delivery.

You will assist in troubleshooting integration issues, working closely with stakeholders to secure pre-operational sign-offs and ensure that solutions meet performance requirements such as security and response times. Your hands-on experience will be invaluable in building and configuring systems as needed.
