Overview
InterWorks is hiring a Data Engineer to design and implement large-scale data infrastructure and pipelines. You'll work with SQL and ETL frameworks to empower clients with data-driven decisions. This position requires strong programming skills and experience in data management.

As a Data Engineer at InterWorks, you excel at building reliable data pipelines that empower customers to make informed, data-driven decisions. You understand the importance of bridging the traditional Business-IT divide and are eager to apply innovative software and technologies in your work. You have excellent SQL fluency and a strong proficiency in ETL processes, utilizing GUI-based solutions to enhance code quality and reliability. Your experience includes designing, developing, and implementing high-performance data infrastructure and pipelines for Data Lakes and Data Warehouses. You are comfortable working with various data sources, including relational databases, flat files, and high-performance analytical databases, to unify client data effectively.
What you'll do
In this role, you will tackle diverse projects that range from a few days to several months, serving clients from local businesses to Fortune 500 companies. You will design cloud-native data pipelines and automation routines that can be leveraged for predictive and prescriptive machine learning. Your responsibilities will include building and implementing ETL frameworks to improve code quality and reliability, as well as enforcing common design patterns to increase code maintainability.
You will communicate ideas clearly, both verbally and through concise documentation, to various business sponsors, business analysts, and technical resources. Your work will involve collaborating with team members to ensure that the data infrastructure meets the needs of clients and supports their decision-making processes. You will also have the opportunity to innovate and pursue new solutions that enhance the overall data management strategy at InterWorks.
