Who you are
You have over 7 years of experience in software engineering and/or sales engineering management, ideally within a SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise Software environment. Your solid understanding of cloud computing trends and open source business models allows you to effectively communicate the value of technology solutions to clients. You are a strong listener and communicator, capable of leading discussions with Product Managers, Engineers, and Executives alike. Your enthusiasm for working in a high-profile, fast-paced startup culture drives your success in building trusted client relationships throughout the sales lifecycle.
Desirable
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus, as these tools are essential for supporting the Kong platform. You are comfortable creating technical documentation for DevOps, implementations, and services engagements, ensuring that clients have the resources they need to succeed. Your ability to prioritize customer needs and coordinate with support, product, and engineering teams is crucial for maintaining 100% customer satisfaction across your assigned accounts.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support field sales by helping customers understand the value of the Kong API/Connectivity Management platform. You will engage with clients from initial product reviews through to production, ensuring that their requirements are met and that they are satisfied with the solutions provided. You will also support Proof of Concepts (PoCs) throughout the evaluation process, demonstrating the capabilities of the Kong platform to potential customers.
Your responsibilities will include creating technical documentation that aids in DevOps and implementation processes, as well as participating in top-of-funnel marketing activities such as writing blogs, hosting webinars, and attending trade shows and field events. You will be expected to grow trusted relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are prioritized and addressed in collaboration with internal teams.
