Your experience includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Infra, Backend, and Frontend, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.

You are well-versed in Kubernetes and have hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform — you understand how to create and manage ephemeral test environments that facilitate rapid iteration and testing. Your familiarity with CI/CD practices, particularly using GitHub Actions, allows you to implement quality gates and optimize build processes effectively.

You possess a keen understanding of APIs and their role in modern software architecture — you know how to design and implement robust APIs that support various services and applications. Your attention to detail ensures that you can identify potential issues early in the development cycle, contributing to a culture of quality and reliability.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the developer productivity initiatives across LangChain's products — you'll work closely with the Infra team to establish best practices for testing and deployment. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining test strategies for APIs, services, and UI components, ensuring that quality is integrated into every stage of the development process.

You will set up and manage ephemeral test environments in Kubernetes for pull requests and release candidates — this involves seeding test data and running comprehensive test suites to validate functionality and performance. Your expertise will help shift-left quality in CI/CD, implementing strategies for parallelization, caching, and flake tracking to enhance the efficiency of the development pipeline.

You will also focus on observability for tests, creating rich failure artifacts such as logs, traces, and dashboards using tools like Datadog — this will enable the team to quickly diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring a smooth development experience. Your contributions will directly impact the speed and reliability of the development process, empowering teams to ship high-quality software faster.
