Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in data science, particularly in machine learning and analytics β you've successfully built models that translate complex data into actionable insights for product and engineering teams. Your expertise in Python and SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, ensuring data quality and relevance.
You possess a strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and their application in real-world scenarios β you can evaluate model performance and communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner. Your analytical mindset enables you to identify trends and patterns that drive business decisions.
You are a collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments β you enjoy working closely with product managers and engineers to align analytics with business objectives. Your communication skills help you articulate complex concepts to non-technical audiences, fostering a shared understanding of data-driven strategies.
Desirable
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus, as is familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker. A background in professional services or a related industry would be advantageous, as it provides context for the challenges faced by our clients.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the analytics framework that supports Laurelβs AI Time platform β you will design and implement data pipelines that facilitate the collection and analysis of time data, ensuring that insights are actionable and aligned with business goals. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to define key performance indicators and metrics that measure the success of our AI models.
You will be responsible for translating model performance into business impact β this involves conducting experiments, analyzing results, and iterating on models to improve accuracy and relevance. Your insights will guide product development and strategic decisions, helping to optimize our offerings for clients.
You will mentor junior data scientists and analysts, sharing your knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team. Your leadership will help elevate the team's capabilities and drive innovation in our analytics approach.
