You are a licensed engineer with a strong commitment to maintaining and operating vessel systems. You thrive in high-pressure environments and can work independently without supervision. Your ability to assist the Chief Engineer in various tasks is complemented by your dedication to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of guests onboard. You are ready to take on the challenges of working on a ship, including long hours and a rotational schedule.
Desirable
Experience in maritime engineering or a related field is a plus, as is familiarity with hotel equipment and vessel systems. You are eager to learn and grow in your role, contributing to the overall success of the engineering team.
What you'll do
As a Temporary Licensed Assistant Engineer, you will assist the Chief Engineer in the maintenance, operation, and repair of all vessel systems onboard. This includes hotel equipment and other systems as directed. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that any issues are addressed promptly. Your role will involve working 12-hour shifts, approximately 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off, allowing you to immerse yourself in the unique environment of expedition travel. You will collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure that all systems are maintained to the highest standards, contributing to the overall guest experience.
