You have a strong background in backend engineering, with experience in building and maintaining production systems. You understand the importance of writing well-crafted, well-tested, and maintainable code, and you can explain the trade-offs made in your decisions. You are familiar with integrating systems and working with various technologies that enhance user experiences. Your ability to participate in code reviews ensures code quality and knowledge sharing within the team. You are proactive in resolving ongoing incidents and unblocking team members when challenges arise.
What you'll do
As a Backend Engineer at Lyft, you will be responsible for writing high-quality code that powers our Business Travel and Lyft Pass teams. You will collaborate closely with product, data science, and analytics teams to develop systems that provide customized ride benefits at scale. Your role will involve implementing complex benefit rules and location restrictions, as well as integrating with expense providers like Concur and Expensify.
You will participate in code reviews, ensuring that the codebase remains robust and maintainable. Your contributions will help us iterate quickly and focus on delighting our passengers and drivers. You will also be involved in resolving ongoing incidents, supporting your team, and effectively communicating to obtain buy-in for your ideas.
