Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in data science, with a strong background in developing algorithms and models that inform business strategy. Your expertise in SQL and Python allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, driving insights that lead to actionable outcomes. You are skilled in statistical modeling and machine learning techniques, enabling you to tackle complex data challenges and contribute to the growth of the organization. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Design to ensure that data-driven decisions are at the forefront of product development. Your strong communication skills allow you to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable
Experience with B2B products or services is a plus, as is familiarity with APIs and integrations. A background in transportation or logistics can also be beneficial, as it provides context for the challenges faced by Lyft Business. You are comfortable with experimentation frameworks and have a keen interest in using data to drive user acquisition and operational efficiency.
What you'll do
In this role, you will shape the vision and define the roadmap for data science projects that accelerate growth and improve operational efficiency for Lyft Business. You will lead initiatives that involve building models and advanced analytics to inform strategy and decision-making. Collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams, you will develop algorithms that power both internal systems and customer-facing products. Your work will directly impact the way Lyft Business serves its partners, enhancing the transportation solutions offered to organizations. You will also be responsible for driving execution on data science projects, ensuring that they deliver measurable value to our partners. As a senior member of the team, you will mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the overall growth of the data science practice at Lyft.
What we offer
Lyft offers a competitive salary range for this position, between $148,000 and $185,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
