What you'll do

As a Data Scientist at Lyft, you will tackle a variety of problems that impact the ridesharing experience for both riders and drivers. You will leverage data and analytic frameworks to create and improve algorithms that underpin the team’s systems and products. Your role will involve partnering with engineers, product managers, and business partners to frame problems and develop solutions that enhance the overall user experience.

You will perform exploratory data analysis to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges at hand, constructing and fitting statistical, machine learning, or optimization models as needed. Writing production modeling code will be a key part of your responsibilities, and you will collaborate with software engineers to implement these algorithms effectively in production environments.

Your work will directly influence critical business decisions, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative product offerings that improve the experiences of Lyft riders and drivers. You will be part of a cross-functional team, working closely with stakeholders to ensure that the algorithms you develop are aligned with business goals and user needs.

What we offer

Lyft offers a competitive salary range for this position in the New York City area, between $128,000 and $160,000, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a strong base salary, you will have the opportunity to participate in equity offerings and bonuses, further enhancing your total compensation package.
