You have a strong background in data science, particularly in algorithms and machine learning, with experience in developing mathematical models that address optimization, prediction, and inference challenges. You are proficient in Python and SQL, allowing you to write production modeling code and perform exploratory data analysis effectively. Your collaborative nature enables you to work seamlessly with engineers, product managers, and business partners to frame problems both mathematically and within the business context.

What you'll do
As a Data Scientist on the Fulfillment team, you will tackle a variety of problems related to matching rideshare supply and demand in real time. You will leverage data and analytic frameworks to direct the creation and improvement of algorithms and models that underpin the teamβs systems and products. Your responsibilities will include performing exploratory data analysis to gain insights into the problems at hand and collaborating with software engineers to implement algorithms in production.
You will partner with cross-functional teammates to enhance existing algorithms and develop new product offerings that improve user experiences. Your role will involve writing production modeling code and ensuring that the algorithms you develop are robust and scalable. You will also be expected to communicate your findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven insights inform critical business decisions.
What we offer
Lyft offers a competitive salary range for this position in the New York City area, between $128,000 and $160,000, not inclusive of potential equity offerings, bonuses, or benefits.
