Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in data science, particularly in applying causal inference to real-world problems. Your strong analytical skills allow you to translate ambiguous product launches into concrete causal frameworks and experimental designs. You are proficient in writing clean, efficient production code, and you have hands-on experience with advanced measurement techniques that drive innovation. You thrive in a collaborative environment, partnering deeply with product and engineering teams to shape critical business decisions. Your ability to rigorously measure the true incremental impact of new product features is key to your success in this role.
Desirable
Experience with large-scale data analysis and familiarity with the rideshare industry would be advantageous. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality results. You are also interested in mentoring junior team members and sharing your knowledge with others.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own complex, open-ended incrementality measurement problems that require innovative thinking and advanced analytical skills. You will lead high-impact causal inference initiatives, driving innovation by introducing new measurement techniques to quantify the incremental impact of new rider features. Your work will directly influence the future of the Lyft rideshare experience, as you rigorously measure the impact of new product features and help shape critical business decisions. You will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure that your insights are effectively integrated into the product development process. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with large datasets, leveraging your technical skills to extract meaningful insights that drive business growth.
What we offer
Lyft offers a competitive salary range for this position in the San Francisco area, between $148,000 and $185,000, not inclusive of potential equity offerings, bonuses, or benefits.
