Who you are
You have a strong background in application security with a focus on integrating security into the software development lifecycle. Your experience includes establishing security protocols and leading security initiatives within development teams. You are familiar with OWASP guidelines and have a keen understanding of threat modeling techniques. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively evangelize security practices across teams and build relationships with key stakeholders.
You are proactive in keeping up to date with the latest security developments and trends, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Your can-do attitude enables you to tackle a wide range of security issues, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can engage with the security community.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design and lead a security champions program across development squads, ensuring that security is prioritized in product development. You will build functional and nonfunctional requirements for applications in collaboration with product teams, inputting abuse case stories into the product backlog. Your responsibilities will include assessing security gaps in the software development lifecycle and proposing effective remedies.
You will instruct and guide developers on conducting threat modeling during application design, acting as the single point of contact for security concerns arising from the development team. Your role will involve evangelizing security across the product team, ensuring that security stories are prioritized against feature goals. You will also consult on best practices and provide advice on how to solve security issues as they arise.
