Who you are
You have a strong background in security engineering, particularly in blockchain technologies. Your experience includes conducting threat modeling and internal reviews of smart contracts, and you thrive on breaking systems to identify vulnerabilities. You are curious and enjoy staying updated on the latest hacks and exploits in the industry, translating those lessons into actionable security improvements.
You are familiar with Solidity and Rust, and you understand the intricacies of blockchain state transition functions. Your ability to embed security best practices across development teams is a key strength, and you are passionate about influencing protocol security from the earliest stages of development. You are comfortable working in a high-stakes environment and are committed to ethical practices in security.
What you'll do
In this role, you will intentionally break things to identify vulnerabilities in ZKsync's core components. You will conduct thorough threat modeling and internal reviews of Solidity contracts and blockchain state transition functions. Your responsibilities will also include tracking the latest hacks, exploits, and attack vectors across the industry, ensuring that the team learns from these incidents to enhance security measures.
You will work closely with development teams to embed security best practices into their workflows, fostering a culture of security awareness and proactive risk management. Your insights will help shape the security protocols and practices that govern the development of ZKsync, ensuring that the platform remains secure and resilient against emerging threats.
