Overview

Mercor is seeking a Product Designer to own the design of core user journeys and collaborate with engineering and product teams. You'll work with tools like Figma and Tailwind CSS to create a modern visual language. This role requires a strong portfolio demonstrating visual polish and UX depth.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong portfolio that demonstrates both visual polish and UX depth β€” your work showcases your ability to create engaging and intuitive user experiences. You are passionate about building products that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, ensuring that users can navigate seamlessly through complex interfaces. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers and product managers to implement new features and refine existing ones. Your experience allows you to bring clarity to complex user experiences as products evolve and scale, ensuring that user needs are always at the forefront of design decisions.

You are excited about the opportunity to help tutorialize the product experience β€” ensuring that users know what to do without needing to be told. You understand the importance of a clean, modern visual language and are inspired by tools like Notion, using elements like Tailwind to create designs that resonate with users. You are eager to work closely with the Head of Design to articulate and evolve Mercor’s design philosophy and culture, contributing to a team that values innovation and creativity.

Desirable

You have experience working in fast-paced environments and are comfortable adapting to changing priorities. Your background includes collaborating with diverse teams, and you appreciate the value of different perspectives in the design process. You are familiar with the latest design trends and tools, and you continuously seek to improve your skills and knowledge in the field.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the design of core user journeys across the product, from initial flows to polished UI. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to implement new features and refine existing ones, ensuring that the user experience is both intuitive and engaging. Your work will involve bringing clarity to complex user experiences as the product evolves and scales, allowing you to make a significant impact on how users interact with Mercor's offerings.

You will create and maintain a clean, modern visual language inspired by tools like Notion, utilizing elements like Tailwind to enhance the overall aesthetic and functionality of the product. Working closely with the Head of Design, you will help articulate and evolve Mercor’s design philosophy and culture, contributing to a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Your responsibilities will also include tutorializing the product experience, ensuring that users can navigate the platform effectively without extensive guidance. You will be expected to stay updated on design trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to your work and sharing insights with the team. You will participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the design team.

What we offer

Mercor offers a generous equity grant vested over four years, providing you with a stake in the company's success.
