Who you are

You are an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in technical accounting and policy. You have a deep understanding of complex, non-routine transactions and can navigate various corporate accounting areas, including Revenue, Leasing, Contingencies, Partnerships, Intangibles, Cost Classification, and Financial Instruments. Your analytical skills allow you to assess and interpret accounting standards effectively, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders. Your attention to detail ensures that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with applicable regulations. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the Technical Accounting and Policy team at Meta, overseeing the accounting for complex transactions and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. You will work closely with various departments to provide guidance on accounting matters and support the implementation of new accounting policies. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and analyzing financial transactions, preparing technical accounting memos, and advising on the accounting implications of business decisions.

You will also be responsible for staying updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring that the company adapts its practices accordingly. Collaborating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation will be part of your duties, as will training and mentoring junior accounting staff to enhance their technical skills.
