Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong focus on cloud security and vulnerability management. Your expertise includes deploying and configuring security tools such as SIEM and WAFs, and you are well-versed in best practices for securing cloud-native applications. You thrive in a scale-up environment where you can take ownership of security initiatives and work closely with engineering teams to integrate security into the development process.

You possess a deep understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards, and you are skilled in assessing vulnerabilities and prioritizing remediation efforts. Your background includes hands-on experience with security monitoring and incident response, and you are comfortable working with various security technologies to enhance the overall security posture of an organization.

You are a proactive problem-solver who enjoys building scalable security processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your communication skills enable you to effectively convey security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike. You are passionate about staying updated on the latest security trends and threats, and you are eager to contribute to a culture of security awareness within the organization.

Desirable

Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python is a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and security tools such as Cloudflare and Docker will help you excel in this role. A background in incident response and threat hunting will also be beneficial as you work to enhance the security capabilities of the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of core security capabilities, including vulnerability management, patching, and cloud security monitoring. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure that security is integrated into the development lifecycle, focusing on enhancing the developer experience while maintaining robust security measures. Your responsibilities will include deploying, configuring, and tuning security tools, as well as triaging and assessing vulnerabilities to drive remediation efforts.

You will also be responsible for monitoring security alerts and incidents, collaborating with the InfoSec team to respond to security events effectively. Your role will involve conducting security assessments and audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, and you will play a key role in developing security policies and procedures that align with industry best practices.

As a member of the InfoSec team, you will contribute to building a security-first culture within the organization, providing training and guidance to other team members on security best practices.
