Who you are

You have a strong background in product design, with at least 5 years of experience creating user-centered designs for complex software applications. Your expertise in Figma allows you to craft intuitive interfaces that enhance user experiences and drive engagement. You understand the construction industry and are passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems.

You excel in collaboration and communication, working effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and marketing. Your ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for user needs makes you a valuable team member. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can iterate quickly based on user feedback and testing.

Desirable

Experience in the construction or field services industry is a plus, as it gives you unique insights into the challenges faced by contractors. Familiarity with AI and embedded payment systems will help you contribute to Miter's mission of modernizing outdated software solutions.

What you'll do

As the Lead Product Designer at Miter, you will take ownership of the design process from concept to execution. You will lead design sprints, conduct user research, and create wireframes and prototypes that align with our product vision. Your role will involve collaborating closely with engineers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and effectively.

You will also be responsible for defining and maintaining design standards and guidelines, ensuring consistency across all product interfaces. By analyzing user feedback and metrics, you will continuously iterate on designs to improve usability and engagement. Your leadership will help foster a culture of design thinking within the team, encouraging innovation and creativity.
