Your background includes designing systems that handle queuing, caching, concurrency, fault tolerance, and scalability. You possess a strong technical mindset and are driven by an 'Always Be Shipping' philosophy, ensuring that you deliver high-quality code and solutions.

You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams including Data, Machine Learning, Platform, and Product. Your ability to communicate effectively and lead initiatives will be key as you contribute to building robust architectures that meet the demands of our merchants.

What you'll do

As an Application Engineer II at Mollie, you will play a vital role in developing user-friendly financial products and APIs that serve tens of thousands of merchants daily. Your focus will be on creating highly scalable solutions capable of processing numerous payments per second, where code quality and system performance are critical. You will have the opportunity to bring your product development ideas to life as we pursue ambitious expansion plans.

You will work in a vibrant Milan hub, contributing to Mollie’s mission of cutting through financial bureaucracy. Your responsibilities will include optimizing our systems to meet increasing demands and collaborating with agile engineering teams to innovate and enhance our portfolio of next-generation payment products.
