Who you are

You have 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and automation practices. You are proficient in MongoDB and have experience with infrastructure as code, enabling you to design and implement resilient systems that meet global demands. Your background includes working with various cloud providers, and you are comfortable troubleshooting complex systems to ensure optimal performance. You believe in the principles of self-healing systems and are dedicated to lowering operational burdens while increasing system visibility. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering teams to integrate SRE practices across the organization.

Desirable

Experience with monitoring tools and automation frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and are always looking for ways to improve system reliability and efficiency. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your work and the team's performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and build the infrastructure for MongoDB's global cloud services, which includes managing hundreds of thousands of MongoDB clusters and processing billions of metrics daily. You will implement and troubleshoot automation and monitoring solutions that span multiple cloud providers, ensuring seamless service delivery. Your expertise in infrastructure performance will help optimize systems from the application level down to the firmware, contributing to the overall resilience of the infrastructure. You will work closely with other engineering teams, fostering a collaborative environment where SRE practices are integrated into the development lifecycle. Your goal will be to minimize operational incidents and ensure that the system remains healthy and performant, striving for a state where no one's pager goes off unexpectedly.

MongoDB offers a competitive salary range for this role, with a base salary between $111,000 and $218,000 USD, depending on experience.
