What you'll do

As a Software Engineer on the Catalog and Routing team at MongoDB, you will play a crucial role in simplifying the complexities of building a distributed database system. Your work will involve implementing scalable interfaces that ensure strong consistency guarantees, which are essential for other MongoDB developers to effectively navigate and organize user data. You will contribute to recent initiatives, such as enabling the movement of unpartitionable data sets across multiple nodes without splitting a table’s keyspace and colocating cluster services to reduce resource consumption and operational complexity. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop features that enhance the productivity of the organization and support MongoDB’s horizontal scaling strategy. You will also be involved in debugging and optimizing existing systems, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.
