Job Description
Who you are
You are currently enrolled in a Masters or PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a similar technical field of study. You possess a strong background in Machine Learning research, ideally with publications in top-tier conferences such as RSS, ICRA, CoRL, CVPR, ICRL, ICML, or NeurIPS. Your proficiency in Python coding and experience with PyTorch or other commonly-used deep learning frameworks make you a strong candidate for this role. You have a collaborative mindset and are eager to work effectively with other researchers and engineers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with various teams. Previous experience in autonomous driving is preferred but not mandatory.
What you'll do
As an intern on the Behaviors team at Motional, you will conduct research on driving behavior-related topics, including motion prediction and planning, agent simulation, and scenario generation. You will work with large-scale internal real-world driving datasets to demonstrate the effectiveness of your research. Your role will involve collaborating with different teams to deploy your research results into autonomous vehicles and testing them on the road. You will also have the opportunity to publish your research results in papers and patents, contributing to the advancement of the field.
