What you'll do

In this pivotal role, you will define the long-term vision and strategy for Motional's robotics efforts within the autonomous vehicle program. You will identify key technological challenges and opportunities, setting the roadmap for both hardware and software development. Leading a talented team of robotics engineers, software engineers, and managers, you will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

You will oversee the architectural design and implementation of our on-vehicle systems, ensuring that the embedded software, runtime middleware, and other components are scalable, reliable, and safe for autonomous driving applications. Your leadership will be crucial in managing the integration of hardware and software systems, implementing robust failure detection and handling mechanisms.

Collaboration with other engineering teams, such as AI/ML and hardware, will be essential to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our autonomous systems.
