What you'll do

As the Senior Director of Engineering at Snyk, you will be responsible for leading the Snyk Open Source engineering team, which is focused on delivering a robust Software Composition Analysis product. You will develop and execute a long-term strategy that aligns with the company's mission to empower developers to innovate securely in the AI era. Your role will involve overseeing the engineering processes, ensuring that your team is equipped to tackle complex challenges in dependency analysis and security remediation.

You will work closely with product management and other stakeholders to define the roadmap for Snyk Open Source, making informed trade-offs to deliver the right outcomes for the business. Your technical leadership will be crucial in guiding your team through the development of high-volume production systems, ensuring that they are built with security and performance in mind. You will also be involved in directly addressing technical issues and providing support to your team as they navigate challenges in their work.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will play a key role in shaping the culture of the engineering team. You will promote a collaborative environment where engineers feel valued and motivated to contribute their best work. You will also be responsible for recruiting top talent, building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the values of Snyk.
