Overview
Mural is hiring an Engineering Manager for their Growth team to lead the technical strategy for self-serve growth initiatives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance user acquisition and conversion. This role requires strong technical leadership and experience in growth engineering.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in engineering management with a focus on growth strategies — you've successfully led teams in building systems that drive user acquisition and conversion. Your experience includes hands-on coding and technical decision-making, ensuring that your team delivers high-quality results while maintaining production uptime.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with marketing, product, and data teams to identify opportunities for growth — your ability to analyze metrics and run experiments allows you to make data-driven decisions that impact business outcomes. You are passionate about mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation within your team.
What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager for Growth at Mural, you will own the technical strategy for the self-serve growth engine — this includes leading a team of engineers to enhance the onboarding experience and scale the experimentation platform. You will be responsible for guiding your team through technical challenges while remaining hands-on in the codebase for a portion of your time.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement systems that improve trial-to-paid conversion rates — your role will involve making critical technical decisions related to paid acquisition, referrals, SEO, and experimentation infrastructure. You will also be tasked with measuring the impact of your initiatives on revenue and ensuring that your team operates with significant autonomy to achieve their goals.
What we offer
Mural provides a dynamic work environment where you can make a significant impact on the company's growth trajectory. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and collaborate with various departments to drive user engagement and revenue. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
