Navisite is hiring a Senior Consultant Oracle DBA to install, configure, tune, and maintain Oracle databases. You'll work with Oracle RAC and mentor junior team members. This position requires over 7 years of experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have over 7 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, with a strong background in installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle databases. Your hands-on experience with Oracle RAC sets you apart, and you are comfortable working with international customers, ensuring their database needs are met with precision and care.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with both internal teams and external clients. Your knowledge extends to Oracle versions 10 through 19, and you are familiar with Data Guard, DB Console, and Grid Control, which enhances your ability to manage complex database environments.
Your technical expertise includes a solid understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and various Windows OS, which is essential for troubleshooting and optimizing database performance. You are adaptable and open to working shifts, including 24/7 support, demonstrating your commitment to team success and customer satisfaction.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, tuning, and maintenance of Oracle database software. You will also mentor junior members of the team, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their roles. Your day-to-day tasks will involve monitoring database performance, implementing security measures, and ensuring data integrity.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database-related projects, providing insights and recommendations based on your extensive experience. Your ability to communicate effectively will be crucial as you engage with customers to understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
You will also be involved in scripting and utilizing tools such as Oracle Audit Vault and Oracle TDE to enhance database security and compliance. Your role will require flexibility in working hours, as you may need to provide support during night shifts or on weekends, depending on project demands.
