Who you are
You are an aspiring Electrical Engineer with a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and a keen interest in robotics and medical technology. You have experience or coursework in board design, including part selection, schematic design, and layout. Your familiarity with custom electronics systems, particularly in the context of robotics, sets you apart. You are eager to learn and contribute to meaningful projects that have a real-world impact, particularly in the medical field. You possess strong problem-solving skills and are comfortable working in a collaborative team environment. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for innovation, especially in the realm of robotics and surgery engineering.
Desirable
Experience with custom motor drivers and control loop design is a plus. Familiarity with high-bandwidth, low-latency camera hardware and firmware will enhance your contributions. Knowledge of Optical Coherence Tomography data acquisition systems is also beneficial. You are open to learning new technologies and methodologies that will aid in the development of cutting-edge surgical robots.
What you'll do
As an Electrical Engineering Intern at Neuralink, you will own meaningful projects that contribute to the development of our surgical robots. You will be involved in all phases of board design, from part selection to layout and bring-up. Your responsibilities will include designing custom motor drivers, focusing on transistor selection and control loop design. You will also work on high-bandwidth, low-latency camera hardware and firmware, ensuring that our devices meet the highest standards of performance. Additionally, you will support the team in testing hardware and debugging issues that arise during the manufacturing process. Your contributions will be integral to the success of our projects, and you will collaborate closely with optical, mechanical, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of all components.
