Your expertise includes working with Rust and Python, and you are familiar with cloud-based solutions and on-premise systems. You understand the importance of robust networking and software reliability, especially in a high-stakes environment like Neuralink. You have experience using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Docker, which allows you to automate and streamline deployment processes effectively. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys integrating with various teams across the organization, ensuring that all users, from technical engineers to non-technical scientists, have the tools they need to succeed.

Desirable

Experience with Kubernetes and GitLab CI is a plus, as these tools are essential for managing containerized applications and continuous integration workflows. Familiarity with AWS services will help you contribute to the cloud architecture that supports our innovative projects. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and are eager to enhance the developer experience through robust tooling and infrastructure solutions.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer on the Infrastructure Team, you will play a crucial role in developing the foundational systems that enable Neuralink to operate efficiently. You will work on a variety of projects, from deploying physical hardware on the manufacturing line to creating custom tooling for streaming neural recordings from implants. Your work will directly impact the development of brain-computer interface technologies, helping to restore movement and sight to those in need. You will collaborate closely with other engineering teams to ensure that the infrastructure you build meets their needs and enhances their productivity.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure required for hardware in the loop testing across firmware, BCI, and robotics teams. This includes developing on-premise solutions as well as cloud-based architectures that are scalable and reliable. You will also focus on enhancing the developer experience by creating robust tooling and build-system infrastructure that allows internal software teams to work more effectively.
