Who you are

You have a strong background in cloud operations with a focus on infrastructure and performance optimization โ€” your experience includes working with mission-critical systems in cloud-native environments. You are skilled in Linux and have a solid understanding of SQL, which allows you to manage databases effectively. Your automation skills are top-notch, and you are proficient in using tools like Ansible and scripting languages such as Python and Perl to streamline processes.

You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions. Your analytical mindset helps you investigate performance and stability issues, and you are adept at tuning platforms and applications for optimal performance. You are committed to setting high standards and executing beyond them, aligning with NICE's ambitious culture.

Desirable

Experience with AWS is a significant advantage, as you will be deploying solutions across multiple stages including Test and Production environments. Familiarity with performance monitoring and alerting services will enhance your ability to build proactive systems that ensure high availability and reliability.

What you'll do

As a Specialist Cloud Operations Engineer, you will design and implement infrastructure and systems for metrics, monitoring, alerting, deployment, and logging. You will set up new environments and deploy solutions across various stages, ensuring that all systems are optimized for performance. Your role will involve building proactive monitoring and alerting services to maintain system health and performance.

You will automate tasks using Ansible, Python, Perl, and other scripting languages, which will significantly enhance operational efficiency. Investigating performance and stability issues will be a key part of your responsibilities, and you will conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve bottlenecks. Your expertise will also be crucial during performance-related design reviews, where you will provide insights and recommendations.

Configuring and optimizing instances and web servers will be part of your daily tasks, as you adjust connection limits and request queuing thresholds to improve system performance. You will also provide troubleshooting support for AWS environments, ensuring that any issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
