Who you are

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. With over 2 years of experience maintaining SQL Server mission-critical databases, you possess a strong understanding of database performance and availability. Your expertise in TSQL programming spans at least 2 years, allowing you to perform database and application tuning effectively. You have experience implementing and maintaining database replication for seamless data management. Your problem-solving skills enable you to work well with both technical and non-technical teams, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.

What you'll do

As a Cloud Database Engineer at NICE, your typical day will involve installing, configuring, upgrading, monitoring, and maintaining multiple SQL Server databases. You will establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures, ensuring data integrity and availability. Your role will also include implementing and maintaining database security measures to protect sensitive information. You will create, maintain, and monitor SQL Server replication, ensuring data consistency across systems. Additionally, you will perform code reviews and provide consultation to development teams, helping them optimize their database interactions. You will provide 24x7 support in an on-call rotation with other staff members, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly. Documentation and standards setup will also be part of your responsibilities, as you review, approve, and create database logical and physical designs. You will integrate third-party software and databases with corporate databases, enhancing overall system functionality. Training other staff members as necessary will also be part of your role, contributing to a knowledgeable and skilled team.
