Who you are
You are an entry-level professional eager to kickstart your career in cloud database engineering. You have a foundational understanding of database management and are keen to learn about installation, configuration, and maintenance of databases. You are comfortable with basic scripting and automation tools, and you are excited about working in a rotational shift environment.
You have a basic knowledge of cloud platforms and understand the importance of database security and performance monitoring. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining accurate documentation of database configurations and processes. What you'll do
In this role, you will assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of databases, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely. You will utilize public cloud hyperscale portals for database operations and gain hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell. You will monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and assist in implementing backup and recovery strategies.
You will participate in maintaining database security by managing user access and permissions, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity. You will also document database configurations and processes to facilitate knowledge transfer within the team. Your role will involve collaborating with experienced engineers and learning from their expertise in high availability and disaster recovery concepts.
